I’ve now had my Isomac back for a bit more than a month, during which time it has seen it’s normal use and its first monthly descale and clean. As you suggested I am using your recommended choice of water rather than Britta filtered water.
The transformation is astonishing. It is like a completely different machine and, to be honest, I had to completely relearn how to use it. The steaming is vastly improved, and I can get more than one cup of milk in a row now – something I have not been able to manage with any real success for many many months. The crema is also really good – and again repeats over as many cups as I have pulled in a row at one time so far, maybe three or four. Previously by three the coffee was looking a bit scummy and tasting quite bitter.
I am very grateful for the attention you put into servicing and repairing my machine. Although it was quite a lot of money, I feel like I have a new machine again (for a fraction of what THAT would have cost) – and I think the money very well spent. I am very happy.

Hi Frank

I completed all the steps as discussed (with the exception of flushing the Brew Head with a concentrated solution of descaler) as the machine appeared to have been successfully unblocked as a result of the dismantling and reassembly process having made encouraging unblocking noises as if it had been constipated.

All appears well and I will just flush it a few times more before use tomorrow morning. Many thanks once again for all your help.

Seems to be much better than before, still getting the knack of pulling the right coffee, I think a lot of it is in the amount of coffee and the grind consistency.

I recently had a problem with my Micro Casa Semi Automatica SXCD. I live in the UK and I found it almost impossible to identify an experienced engineer who could repair my machine despite searching the net for hours. I eventually emailed Elektra for a recommendation. Within two or three days I received an email from Frashell as Elektra had advised Frashell Ltd of my problem. I phoned Frank at Frashell and asked a number of technical questions to ensure that he was familar with these machines. All my questions were answered in full. I duly sent my machine via courier for repair. The service Frashell Ltd has provided has been superb and I would highly recommend them.

One important note- Do keep your original packing. Unfortunately I had thrown mine away just two weeks beforehand. I have owned the machine for 5 years. Although I made a pretty good job of packing the machine up, the couriers still managed to damage the machine. The decorative tank is made of brass coated in chrome and it was compressed during transport. Frank took it to a panel beater who repaired it at no cost to myself. The machine was repaired at a very reasonable cost and the pressure and temperature was fully bench tested before being returned to me within a week. Fantastic service and highly recommended.
